Castleford -10 v Leeds

Castleford are the form side in the league and look capable of scoring points at will and despite losing Rangi Chase due to off field issues, there still appears to be little reason not to expect them to cover the cap again this week, against a Leeds side still terribly out of form and missing Carl Ablett through suspension.

Huddersfield v Hull FC -6

Huddersfield and Hull are both sides struggling for form, the latter more of a surprise based on their exploits last season. After last weeks win over Wakefield, Huddersfield will looking to be making it 2 home wins on the trot – but the loss of McGillvary is a big blow, and whilst Hull FC lose Liam Watts to suspension, Albert Kelly returns. Go with the Black and Whites

St Helens v Wakefield +12

I’ll be honest – after last week I’d just be happy with a win, at this moment I can’t stretch myself to actually backing a Saints side with hard earned cash to win any game by more than 12, regardless of the opposition.

Wigan v Leigh +18

18 point start in the Wigan borough derby against a Leigh side with their tails up? Leigh all day. They’ll score first half points before Wigan’s fitness will take over. But 18 points better? Nope. Take Leigh

Salford +8 v Warrington

Warrington have lost 2 from 2, and Salford look to be a far better proposition than they were last season. Warrington struggled on the road to Catalan, and I think Salford will score a fair few points. Warrington may sneak it, but not by 8+.

It’ll be an absolute field day for our French friends on home soil against a Widnes side who despite a spirited effort against Wigan, still ultimately came up short. Widnes won’t get into double figures points wise. Easy pick
