#SixWordMatchReport – Round 2: Wakefield Trinity – RedVee.Net

After our round 2 match against Wakefield we asked our wonderful followers on social media for their #SixWordMatchReport and we weren’t disappointed with the response!

Our favourite from Facebook was Gaz Hockenhull’s comment – we definitely admire his confidence!

“Never in doubt really, was it?”

Phil Lowthian sent us a rhyme to sum up the game on Facebook:

“Little shaky but we beat Wakey”

Over on Twitter at @redveedotnet we appreciated Ken Bold’s (@bold_ken) use of alliteration to perfectly sum up Louie’s barnstorming last minute drive for the line:

“Scarsbrook’s superb score secures Saints success”

Some fans were keen to tell us who played well and not so well:

“Evergreen Roby stars in Saints win” (via @stottydk on Twitter)

“Roby just gets better and better” (via @cm15here on Twitter)

“Coote! Shocking kicking! Coote! Good passes” (via @eyesofthewild on Twitter)

“I love @LouieMS14 so very much” (via @rlfanssaddened on Twitter)

“Brough wins kicking game. Saints win” (via @st04bez on Twitter)

Some got in touch to bemoan Saints kicking game:

“Richardson’s kicking missed, might cost us” (via @john_1865 on Twitter)

“Poor Goalkicking will cost us soon” (via @ryanjohnsonx on Twitter)

(To balance this, the missed kicks at goal were not gimmes – from the touchline, in windy conditions – but we know others share the same concerns)

And the best of the rest:

Facebook

“Saints give travelling fans a scare” (Linda Pownall)

“Defended 33 tackles on our line” (Chris Marsh)

“Great teams play poor and win!” (Ian Taylor)

“Two points away unlike last year” (Geoff Cleworth)

“Made bloody hard work of it…” (David Smee)

“Wakefield looked better, however, we won” (Lee Butler)

“Always hard. Glad with the win” (Clare Maloney)

“Got the win, all that matters” (John Berry)

“Tough game. Happy with two points” (Mike Morris)

“Win is a win in Yorkshire” (Keith James Walker)

“Still four points clear of Wigan” (Paul Prescott)

“Hard work, stuck in, showed character” (Liam Armstrong)
