Lachlan Coote has bagged a double, as he secures back to back Redvee Man of the Match honours!

In a thoroughly professional performance at the John Smiths stadium, it was Lachlan Coote who secured your Man of the Match, securing just under half the votes cast (48%) to take top spot. Dom Peyroux’s try scoring efforts seen him take second place with a massive 33% of the vote, with Lomax getting his neck ahead of the rest of the squad to secure third with a measly 4.4%.

In a game where all 17 Saints players were excellent, it was going to take a super performance to scoop the honours and so it proved to be, as Lachlan Coote tookback to back Man of the Match honours securing 55% of the vote, whilst Lomax and Peyroux reversed the previous weeks order – Lomax with 15%  and Dom Peyrouxon 11.5%. Interestingly, despite coming third in the Man of Steel polling for the week, Alex Walmsley was one of three Saints players not to receive a single vote… proving we all watch a different game!

So what has that done to the overall standings? Well for the first time this season, James Roby has some competition as Lachlan Coote becomes joint leader on 14 points, with Theo Fages just behind on 13pts. It’s a tight race but testament to how well the squad are playing.
