Saints welcome Castleford Tigers to the Totally Wicked Stadium to open up our Super League campaign, and we’ll be hoping for a repeat of last season’s home performance which saw the Saints run out 26-22 winners on Easter Monday in Round 10 of the 2017 campaign.

After the sacking of Keiron Cunningham it was left to Jamahl Lolesi, Sean Long and Derek Traynor to take charge, with Matty Fleming, Luke Douglas and Mark Percival all crossing before half time to give the Saints a 20-8 lead. Second half tries from Roberts and Eden brought Castleford to back within 2, before Regan Grace crossed to give us some breathing space. Roberts was able to grab another with 23 seconds left, but a consolation try is all it proved to be, as the Saints saw the clock out to take the 2 points, and extend the Tigers awful record travelling to face Saints, having not won here since 1990.
